Comments on previous deals suggests this is a quality grinder, but because it uses proprietary wheels that are a lot more expensive (& could be killed off by Bosch) than standard wheels, it's not such a good deal for the average user.

Gross, it really is special wheels that only work on this grinder. The main "benefit" is that it can change wheels without using a wrench. This is hilarious because anyone who uses a grinder never uses the spanner! You can just grab the disc and tighten or loosen it.

There is no way I'd buy a grinder that needs special proprietary grinding wheels.

Yes to cut metals, look it up on youtube but you hold it perpendicular to the surface with a wheel rated for cutting metal.

As others said, I wouldn't buy one that uses proprietary wheels. But earlier today there were some deals on the other bosch 10 amp models that accept regular wheels in price range similar to this, maybe 5 bucks more.

Hard pass on proprietary discs. Not worth the extra few seconds it takes to hand tighten/loosen a regular wheel.
