Top speed 20 mph. Pass.

Agreed. My Harley goes at least 100 mph faster and only costs $19,400 more. If I'm cruising casually with the fam, it's got to be at an exorbitant speed.

Seems you spend more on drugs and alcohol too. What does your finances have to do with this bike? Why would any of us care?
I think he's suggesting ditching the car and commuting on this bike.

Lol, well I can hit 20 mph on a non ebike easily enough so would prefer a Class 3 (28 mph). This appears to be a Class 1. With the assist I'd be maxing out the speed too often.

You can change this one to 28 mph. Check your local laws before doing so.

Wait, really? That could change things enough for me to buy it. Is that a setting in the computer or are you suggesting heavy modifications? Got a source?

It's a setting on the handlebar display. I have the same motor and controller (Vinka E20) on my bike.

I bought one. It came today severely damaged. Any idea if calling the "Don't return to the store call us instead" number will be beneficial?

Reviews I saw inidicated the controller was proprietary and I can't find any info correlating what you say. Regardless, the Engwe folding bike seems like a better deal since it's already Class 3 and has much more power. (960W) Hopefully that one's still going when I get paid Friday.

It's not a "hack".
From the Vinka manual:
"Press and hold the " i " and " - " buttons 1S and above at the same time to enter the general parameter setting state."
Check with your local laws before changing the speed limit.
