DDR4 slow? Not really noticeable difference for a user looking for this tier of laptop (daily general latpop).
At least the 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD, would be sufficient for those who do not know/unwilling to open up the chassis for upgrades.

I'm having a mouse scrolling issue that crashes my computer. Does anyone have any idea why that would happen and a solution to fix it?
Seems to happen more so after I've paused from doing activity on the device for several minutes. Then I go to scroll in the page in any application and I'm instantly nuked.

There was a Best Buy deal recently for a similar laptop (asus vivobook) and the answer was no.

The 5800 will have 2 more cpu cores and a faster GPU. Just update the memory so its 16gb so its all dual ch and that system will be better than this one.
What games can it play and is it decent for video Editing?
My kid has a 4700u (zen2) and he plays roblox and other games similar.
The 5800u has a faster CPU (zen3) and a little bit faster GPU as well.
If gaming is something important then pay a little extra for the next deal on a 7840u system. Faster CPU and GPU.
Light video editing is also good on the 5800u and better on the 7840u. Not as good as a desktop of course. But works fine for general use.
