100 for a miter saw is good. Just know that 7 1/4 won't cut more than 2x lumber. So at 7 1/4 I'd only recommend it for people planning on doing lots of smaller projects that would require a lot of angled cuts. Otherwise just get a 7 1/4 circular saw and save for a 10"

A 7-1/4" miter saw is great for many things that need to be mitered, like standard window/door casings, base board, quarter round, shoe moldings, brick mold, etc. Except for the larger crown molding in the dining room, there's no trim in this house that a 7-1/4" saw couldn't handle.

For 2x4s and other larger construction materials, use a circular saw.

I have this little miter saw and use it way more then I thought I would. It's perfect for trim, small cuts and grabbing it to go to a weird corner of your house. It doesn't do great at cutting 2x4s and those will also drain the battery extremely quickly.
If you're remodeling and have smaller flooring, trim work and other things similar IMO this is well worth it.

Just looked this up in action. I want one now, but i can see why people suggest the bigger one, so maybe ill wait for the 10"? This one looks like it can do smaller jobs well but for bigger stuff you might want one with a larger blade

If you don't do a lot of work that requires a miter saw but you want one, just get this one. That's kind of my needs and I got it for a little more but I'm super happy with it. I use it all the time for small jobs. It's small enough to carry around, and being cordless is fantastic...but it doesn't break the bank. Also, I never bought into Ryobi batteries, I just use DeWalt packs + adapter and I never let the battery run low.

Same question. I have it, but I haven't used it. I've heard it can not cut straight due to how the blade attaches to the tool.
