This is just a plan. You can buy an esim on their website for a couple of bucks. Once that is setup, then you can add a plan to your account and join the esim to it.

btw, this company is not the best. The advertise Canada and Mexico roaming included with the plan.. and they give you a measly 100 MB of data while roam. See what you can accomplish with that much data while roaming in Canada.

also, the 5GB gets used up pretty quick. Not sure how they measure their data usage.. but it doesn't seem to add up right when I compare it with what my phone shows the amount of data I've used.
Stay as far away as you can from Redpocket. Dealing with CS is more painful than coloniscopy and no they will never give refund
Not really a deal. I got the 5 gig plan for $10/month back in September. I think it was the same price during Black Friday

Hmm. My current plan is "Annual- Unlimited Everything + 8GB high speeds". Is this same as the 10gb mentioned in the post? I am temped to buy another year. My plan won't expire until October though.

if your plan expires in October, don't buy now, this will expire by then. but yes, it's the same as the 10gb plan, but you probably have the non-ATT plan which is 8gb.

for those whose plan is about to expire and can't wait until Black Friday, this saves a little bit...

I got their 120/year 5gb plan last year in October. But we have had multiple network issues which we did not have in the past with other MVNOs like Mint, US mobile. After hours of troubleshooting, Redpocket cannot still solve the problem and they are not willing to do a partial refund for porting out.

For the 10gb/month annual plan, how is it compared to US Mobile's similar plan? I'm deciding between RP and US Mobile

Ive had red pocket for over a year.

The two issues I had were whenever I ran out of high speed data. My data shut off entirely. No low speed connection. Customer service usually fixed it but one time the person told me that I used too much data and had to wait until next month, which literally didnt make sense because it was my first month with them.

Also when i bought an annual plan, they said it would stack on my existing plan. Bought the same exact plan, was chatting with customer service while I was trying to stack my plan and IT DID NOT STACK. I literally told the same customer service agent that it didnt stack, and they tried to tell me that my plan ended the second i activated so it didnt stack. Customer service is pretty bad but I had so many receipts that they were able to fix the issue.

Service is good, no complaints just expect a few hurdles.

I am on this plan for about half year now. My complaint is phone calls are frequently disconnected when they were picked up. It is a known issue. APN setup is inconsistent.
