Anything with win10 isn't worth paying this price on, especially sff models. No updates after next year.

you can upgrade to Windows 11 without issue. I bought one of these during the last sale and it's running Windows 11 Pro now.

Only complaint was that it didnt' come with wireless but a low profile card from Amazon and some more RAM made it work great for a computer for the garage.

I love these micro dells, i've gotten a few 7040s locally for around $40-50. I just reapplied some new thermal paste and they have been solid.

Yep it's definitely a cozy spot so I opted for the sparkle a310. It's single slot and leaves just enough room for the fan. I also put in a case fan which thankfully takes air right into the card to help with that.

If you go with this have some thermal paste on hand though, for whatever reason sparkle decided you need to remove the GPU heatsink to swap to the low height bracket
Thanks! I did see that A310 Sparkle on Amazon. Lots of concerns around fan noise however. And that's insane that you need to re-paste just to swap the bracket, lol.

My eyes have been on this Yeston GTX 1650 "Single Slot King":
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CD7WP...dp_it&th=1

It fits the profile - Low Profile, True Single Slot (No protrusion), Board Power.

Per some reddit discussions, it's a beast in these Dell SFF devices. Double the price ($200 vs $100), but also theoretically double the performance too:

Yeah I'd def go with something like that for regular use cases for sure, that'll work fantastic. I had just been itching to try out an arc, im really hoping they add some more competition! Else I'd go with the regulars say if I were putting this together for someone else.

I've bought three laptops and a micro desktop from them in the past year. I've been extremely happy with the quality of all four (I chose their A rating) as well as their service under the basic 100-day period. My 7410 laptop came with a battery showing around 70% capacity (per the Windows battery health report). Since didn't have the replacement part in stock they offered me a partial refund of $65 so I could purchase it elsewhere (they even shared a link to a vendor selling the OEM part). Same with a faulty USB-C laptop charger, they shipped me another one within a couple of days of sending them an email. It arrived via FedEx before the tracking number.
I'm tempted to buy a SFF to build a retro gaming PC 🙂

That's good that they corrected those issues, but I wonder why those faulty/inferior parts were sent to a customer in the first place. "Refurbished" should mean the device and its components (battery, charger, etc.) were all verified as in good operational condition. If they missed these two things, it makes one wonder about the quality of their refurbishment process.

I've bought two laptops from Dell Refurbished. 1st one was specified as quailty B and arrived in like new condition. Worked great for years then I sold it to buy another laptop. 2nd laptop I purchased from Dell Refurbished was purported to be quality B but came with a broken left touchpad button and one of the filthiest keyboards I have ever seen (it was chock full of dead skin, human hair and food crumbs). I returned it to Dell for a full refund (they also, of course, paid for return shipping), but this experience wasted over 2 weeks of my time (waiting for laptop, receiving it, then having to drive to UPS store to return a poor quality product).

If it's a good deal I might give Dell Refurbished another try, but based on my 50% bad experience I have some doubts about their refurbishment process.
