Probably not the greatest, but for the price, atleast a short term solution, worth a grab. I spend more than that on lunch or a coffee.

I wish I could give you a thousand likes on that comment. Every single Duracell I laid my eyes on over the past 3 years leaked. AC controller, keyboard, child's toy, stored in a drawer..

Shouldn't even be allowed per 3rd party seller guidelines but they've been "vetted"

the quick popularity on this "deal" is a bit suspect.
buyer beware. Slickdeals is a little too slick these days..

I think these are almost 20% less and let's be honest, it's dirt cheap for 36ct of batteries.. I think the better question is are they quality? That I don't know but short of them leaking right away or stop working after 1-2 weeks., hard to say.

Now, there are things I will personally pay for, such as shoes, or bed (mattress), laptop, mouse, things I use all the time, but would batteries be that? perhaps.. Maybe if they were in a very sensitive or expensive device, where quality matters, I would def do so, but for tv remote or scale or alarm clock, I dunno... if I'd care that much. I might be 1 of the few very people but I use very few aa or aaa batteries (less than 10 per year) , so that may duracells actually leaked white stuff from them, so i might not the best person to judge these...

as for allowed, once that merchant has been posted, they are allowed from now on, so this is fair game, same as your comments, which raise many good points, which are important for people to consider before buying.

Better deal is to buy the 36ct through subscribe and save(code works for that size too). It's $4.99 after code and 10% S&S. Doesn't work on the 100ct unfortunately.

20 years ago I bought a large box of no-name AA and AAA alkaline batteries on eBay for $0.10/ea, they lasted for decades and still worked great. They finally started leaking more and more (even though they still worked) so I tossed what I had left, but I had used like 90% of them so was happy. I still use $0.10/ea as my benchmark for a good price haha.

This doesn't let you put in a code if you try to subscribe & save it, but if you checkout for one time purchase, input the code, delete the item and then go back and subscribe and save it, the code will still show up and you'll get the S&S discount (another 40 cents off if you're at the max S&S level of 10% for this ($3.99 before tax).

Those low quality batteries may drain very fast though the price is low.

From the manufacturer to the landfill with a brief stop at your house.

Cool story. Though 25c per batt is a more realistic benchmark these days

Fair enough, though the 36ct of these is less than $0.14/ea, and I see them for under $0.20 pretty much always. Name brand 0.25 is great for sure
