It's true that luxury pieces are coming down and should continue to, but we've played this song before. Assuming we aren't at the end of history, the cycle continues.
However, these watches here are not even really luxury... you're buying for the brand name but these aren't desirable models, even by virtue of comparison to a more baseline lower-price luxury model (low end luxury) like a Seamaster Professional. I'm honestly not sure who these watches are even for, as a luxury watch person wouldn't touch these and it's also too expensive for the "go buy a Seiko and forget about it" crowd, even at the cut price.
In short I generally agree with you, but luxury watches are a cycle, and these watches are more like high-end regular watches and not anything near a luxury piece, so the discussion is different.
A watch like this is simply to have the brand name on your wrist at the lowest possible cost, to impress non-watch people that it says Omega.
Would highly recommend anyone looking at lower price Omega to just get a Speedmaster or a Seamaster and forget about it. There are proper models on the sale page. Speedmaster under 5k
