I got this one

it is super thin. The 15.6" touch screen I had was as thick as my MacBook Pro 16!!! Way too much to fit both into the bag where this 14" can tuck in front of the laptop no problem.

HDMI , DP, and USBC, are all digital connections and basically interchangable. You can just buy a DP to USBC or HDMI to USBC cable...

you also may confusing your GPU/computer limit with port limits.

all im getting at is that "no HDMI" means absolutely nothing in your situation and probably 99% of other situations.

"no HDMI" can be solved with a cable...
Sure they are all digital connections but no, they are not interchangable, not in the least. If they were interchangable they wouldn't require additional hardware to do the conversion. They each have their own standards and protocols. Sure you can buy adapters but there is no guarantee that they'll work. Not to mention when using adapters you'll no longer have HDR, Freesync etc.

That isn't true, HDMI and Displayport (or DP over USBC) are not completely interchangeable and only work one way without an active conversion. I have a portable Lenovo 15.6 USB-C monitor and it does NOT work with any USB-C to HDMI adapters I have. If these do work with HDMI it will be with very specific adapters with active conversion or something. Normally the USB C to hdmi adapters work when the hdmi signal is OUT to an HDMI TV from a USB-C source like a laptop, in this instance the signal is IN from a laptop or gaming device HDMI port and OUT to a USB-C monitor.

FWIW, I got one of these monitors in December and love it. Powers up super quick, super responsive, lines are crisp and colors are bright. My only complaint is that the cables all stick straight out of the screen and laptop. I just got some right angle connectors for $10 to solve that, and it works great. There are cheaper no-name brands, but this is a great deal on a great monitor.

ZenScreen MB166C uses a single USB Type-C connection for both power and video transmission from your host device. This means you have less cables to work with, so you get a neater work area.

I like the ASUS brand, but without HDMI or mini-HDMI it won't be able to connect to some devices like my RG35XX_H

Good deal if you are just looking for a basic connection for a second laptop screen though.

Has anyone used a screen like this with a keyboard+mouse to turn an iPhone into a portable computer?

Anyone vouch for color accuracy? Ive started seeing some more chinese portable displays in the market that are allegedly lower delta Es than the big name brands.

Tried one of these 15" 1080 touch and I hated it. It was fuzzy and thick. I ended up going to a 14" 1440p monitor that is much thinner and lighter and easy to fit in the backpack

I didn't go for 4k cuz that would be too small of a font and often need to go to a 15"-16" to get 4k resolution which too big as a daily carry

I carry my 14" screen with me daily so weight and thinness are important.

Speaker and HDMI maybe at deal breaker at this price but not sure who thinks they are getting a touch screen portable monitor under $100.

And yes, we all remember that used ebay deal that lasted 5 minutes and was missing a bunch of items. Outside of that...you probably aren't going to find a 15-16" touch screen at sub $125. Especially not a known brand like Asus.
