Speaking of games!....This is a potentially serious issue! What they're doing is resorting to intentionally debilitating the app/website at certain times, so that you can't place an online order and use any of the offers! I can't attest to this occurring nationally, but there have been several complaints here on SD about the app/website being dysfunctional (or not functional) at times. I'm in the NYC area, and this seems to occur frequently in the early evening (peak time for ordering)! The offers disappear completely, and there's a message stating that online ordering isn't working! It's become routine (at least in my area), and I've confirmed it with several others at the restaurant (who are encountering the same problem). You can reinstall the app to no avail (I've tried it numerous times). When you attempt to use it again, you'll get another error message. You're just wasting your time spinning around in circles! Then, miraculously, an hour or two later, everything goes right back to normal (consistently)! I'm convinced that they're playing games! In a sense, this is actually another version of "surge pricing" (or whatever you choose to call it)! Once you're on the way or at the location, you'll be victimized by their game and be forced to pay full price! Most will be passive and deal with it (and that's exactly what they're depending upon). I'd strongly urge as many of you as possible to go elsewhere if you have a non-functioning app/website! If enough people do this, perhaps they'll stop playing this game. If you call them, they'll (of course) claim that it's a technical glitch, so that's just a waste of time! Perhaps it's only affecting certain areas, but the only way to combat this is to boycott Wendy's when they debilitate the app/website! If this is intentional (and it very likely is), then it's truly underhanded, and they deserve to lose business as a result....lots of business!

i dont think it's intentional, but their server is just absolute unreliable trash. They want everyone using mobile, so they can eliminate the "extra" employee at the register, so when the app is down, they are losing orders.

As for the offers, if you load your offer into your account beforehand, there's a good chance it will be available for purchase at the register, even if mobile ordering is down.

I feel like both the single and double dave are rip offs if you pay for the original price. The double dave is basically just a very basic small burger with two patties. Nothing more. And the single is just the same thing but with one patty. I think they are only worth 3 or 4 dollar max, so the deal makes it alright. But for the original price, hell no.

Not sure what you mean by "small burger", but Dave's Single is 4oz so it's directly compared to McD's Quarter Pounder, BK's Whopper, Jack's Jumbo Jack, In-n-Out's Double, etc. So it's not the same size as McD's McDouble...it's larger than that. And it comes with produce and cheese. Just wanna make sure we're on the same page here.

Pricewise, I agree with you. But as someone else noted before, it's not out of line with other fast food burgers in the same class.

I didn't read every comment but this has worked for me MANY times.

1: Make a new account, make up the email it doesnt matter
2: order a daves double for $2.
3: a few minutes after the order is ready, add the free 10pc nuggets with purchase for "new users" and then use your 200 reward points on either a small fry, small frosty or 4pc nuggets. get both in your cart and you can checkout for free!

the reward redeem counts as a purchase. If they cancel it because I shared this just know I need it to stop because its getting me fat lol

Wendy's is the only app that does anything remotely like this. It's a Wendy's thing. We aren't all the problem when it only happens to the Wendy's app.

Sure, the Wendy's app doesn't always work right. But it's hardly the only one. I've had issues in some form or another with the other fast food apps. I gave up on Popeye's for awhile because it wouldn't let me check out. Not everyone has issues only with the Wendy's app all the time. Some people have issues with it sometimes. There's nuance there that I hope you can appreciate.

What has happened to Wendys?? Around here they are filthy and are staffed by some of the dirtiest, dumbest people you can imagine. Its almost like they recruit their employees from homeless people on the street. Sad, since we like their food. But we don't eat their anymore.

Yeah the store I went too had the hippest clerk I have ever seen, clearly doped. But burger is surprisingly good, meat more tastful and onions are crisp.

Sounds like they aren't paying competitive wages if they can't attract better than bottom-of-the-barrel employees. Why would anyone want to work at a fast-food restaurant when other places are paying similar wages for easier jobs that don't involve working in a hot, greasy kitchen? Anyway, the location near me has decent workers so I think some franchises are just run better than others.
