It's been around these prices for years. If you're asking why it hasn't gotten cheaper, it's because companies make products for a profit. 32GB is a solid amount of memory, DDR4-3600 C18 is a solid speed and CAS latency combo (not the absolute best, but solid), you're complaining about paying $80 for 32GB of good DDR4 here.

DDR5 isn't much more expensive, but that's what's supposed to happen with the next-gen stuff eventually.

DDR4 prices have crept up a few bucks in the last several months, but they're not up much from those all-time lows.
