I brought in an old (but working) rod and reel and got 2 vouchers. 1 for the rod and 1 for the reel and was able to buy separate new rod and new reel with the discount. They donate your old equipment to a charity.

This is stupid. Either offer the discount or don't. I'm not going to give them anything worth value so they can then claim it as a huge donation and write it off.

Do what you want. I'm on the Board of a small local conservation club and they donate a lot of rods and reels to us from this event to pass on to kids. A little generosity goes a long way!

Then Bass Pro should just make a donation directly from actual new stock.

Anyone ever successfully stack deals with this one? Either price match or additional coupon? I guess there is the discounted gc deal.

Yeah, you can stack with the $120 gift card for $100 deal on the front page. I was able to buy a new $200 reel for $140 when combining with the gift card deal. $40 off with this deal and then saved another $20 with the gift card deal on front page. I traded in an old dusty reel that still worked but wasn't being used.

Did you buy the reel in store or do you trade the reel in store but buy the new reel online?
