If you're new to houseplants or live in a colder climate-- avoid calathea's! They're so finicky and temperamental. The ones sold here may be a bit more hearty/mixed than ones I've purchased from proper nurseries, but expect a battle to thrive 🥲 I'm in Michigan and unless it's humid always, I had to nurture my Calathea (Roseopicta 'Illustris') for 3 years until it finally gave up and died with a single stem left. Or I just suck and my 20 other plants are lucky ducky? Haha!!

Nah same location and experience with that exact same plant. You're definitely lucky though, mine died in a few months time. I avoid that specific plant for the more hearty plants.

I just avoid all plants because I suck at taking care of them. ☹️

All plants are outside plants. Indoor is just easier care, more weather temperment
