Was at Costco yesterday and saw this priced at $19.99. Took a pic of it and came to checkout and asked clerk to price check to make sure the price was not a mistake and was delighted at the price. Bought one. Will post pic of the price if I can. (can't see option in app right now)
(apologies. The pic of price is blurry but it tells you the model # and price and I wasn't hallucinating!)

Are your in-laws able to make 911 calls with Google voice?

I set up what I think is an easier system for my parents. I ported their landline to mobile, then connected the mobile phone to a Panasonic home phone via bluetooth. They can make and receive calls on the Panasonic phone without ever touching the mobile phone. They only need to keep the mobile phone charged.
No, but 112 should work. That will transfer them to 911.

If you have a senior parent that is reluctant to cut the landline cord, this is the way! Purchased a similar Panasonic set that has the Link-2-Cell feature. Ported my mom's old landline number to her cell provider and paired it up to her cell-phone via Bluetooth. It works just like a landline phone.

I then upgraded her Tello cell plan to unlimited minutes for $10 a month, waaaaay cheaper than the ATT VoIP service she had been paying for. It does an amazing job at blocking spam calls too.

We had NoMoreRobo service with ATT's VoIP service and we would still get spam calls daily. Since porting over and connecting the Panasonic phones, spam calls have gone down significantly. When the odd one comes in, it's very easy to just push the block button on the handset.

Highly recommended!

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank Carnivore

Has anyone besides the OP been able to get this deal? It has tons of thumbs up for the price but I don't see any replies from people who actually scored this at another Costco location.

The in-laws have a standard landline through their cable company (Spectrum), so all the standard features work for them. We switched to Google Voice on our end so we weren't paying for a landline just so the in-laws could call us. Don't your parents have to at least charge the cellphone? Even that was too complicated for my in-laws.

Just was @ my local Costco have a few but still 49.97. Thinking still picking up a set since my older Panasonic set, 4 phones as well , seem to run down quicker & batteries will run close to that. Seems my local one never seems to have the great markdown prices as a lot of others. Guess it really is store to store & location. Great deal if you're able to get the 19.97 price.

Ooma is good. Had them for decades. Rarely had an issue with them. However they charge tax/fee in my state. I think around $7 a month.

Decided to cut them a few months back. But use them with Panasonic phones like the one posted here. No issues.

Ported the number and bought the largest and most basic flip phone I could find.

there is one guy said his costco in cali got 120 units for this price $20 each.

but yeah. we all agree. its the new slickdeals standard. even the supermod. they ignored the facts. kept the post alive to collect more clicks. the most recent example is the gamestop mario + rabit gold switch game. we got like 20+ posts said the deal was dead. going across the next day. meanwhile. that "supper staff" Discombobulated still kept the deal going for almost a day later. despited how many members like us alerted him that the deal was dead. i myself have helped cleaning this community alot by submitting the expired deal requests
but they are still tone def.

my theory is more on the work ethic though. they are either not in front of their desk. not doing their job. or its the new slickdeals guidelines. keep it for another day to collect more clicks. more views. more money.

Luckily, my parents know how to charge the phone normally. The charger is always plugged in to an AC outlet so the usb cable is always ready to use.

More off-topic, but...to make calling easier for them, I have a different Panasonic phone, KX-TG9542B, with 3 one-touch dial buttons that they can easily call us just by pushing one button. Panasonic has another model, KX-TG9581B, with 10 one-touch dial buttons should they ever need more than 3 quick dial buttons.

Just found 150+ units @ Costco #473 Chino Hills, CA, grabbed 2 units @ $19.97/each. Best Luck!
Thanks OP rep'ed, same for you madnesspost for in-stock location with price!

Great buy for us VOIP users! Chino Hills, CA location is now down to 96 units. They need to forklift down the remaining two 48-pack pallets tomorrow morning.

Same here. My old home phone transferred to Google Voice and use it as a backup/home phone.
