This is a good, flexible, intermediate level truck. Fast enough to keep older kids and adults entertained, but can be turned down for young or inexperienced users. The transmitter has a switch to limit power to 50% / 75% / 100%. Newbies can start on a 2S battery at 50% and eventually work up to 100% on a 3S battery. Unlike some of the cheaper Amazon trucks, parts to repair it will be readily available. This would be a good way to get started in RC and eventually upgrade to a 6S vehicle when you're ready.
I'm just saying this for perspective. A 3S truck isn't like a toy for beginners or something you'd find at Walmart. This is a serious hobby-grade vehicle. The majority of people will not feel any need to even upgrade from 3S in my opinion. You have to be really into the hobby to go beyond that.

Used to own the 3s granite and 4s kraton...4s is the way ro go!
I bought the Spectrum 6S charger kit. It's flexible because I can run 1 battery in a 3S while the other charges, or I can bump up to a 6S (2x3S) car later on.
Edit: you have to select Horizon. Amazon doesn't default to that option
Keep in mind you will need to factor in the cost of batteries and a charger if you're new. The Spektrum smart line are nearly foolproof but pricey.
If this thing can hit 50mph how fast are the 6S the other guy is talking about.
Has anyone took one of these on the highway and filmed it for YouTube yet?

If you ask 5 people this you will get 7 different answers. I'd recommend starting out with a basic and cheaper combo first, after a while you will know what features/size/setup that will suit you best, then hone in on your research for a quality set. I've gone thru a couple of charging systems before I settle on one. You may be surprised that it may not be the performance that you care the most, it could be simple stuff like whether the power plug is in the back or on the side (which impacts your bench setup).
Are there any "good" RC vehicles out there that use a battery that's not trying to light itself on fire if you look at it wrong?
