When needed it will use SSD as swap memory with very little performance hit and little SSD lifespan hit. It should be enough for normal use

For basic stuff like browsing, taking notes, watching movies, yes.

With Apple silicon 8gb is fine. I agree a laptop should have at least 16 but in practice it's fine for most tasks.

Yes, but it was only in-store and in selective stores.

While I think no laptop titled Pro should have less than 16GB, as sharkna80 said, yes, for what 99% of people use a computer for it will run just fine. Even apps like Photoshop and Illustrator are fine.
But if you are going to be doing 4k video or music editing, 3D work, etc- no way.

Not saying this deal is any good to begin with, but if you are in the market for a MacBook BB also has the 24GB/1TB version for $1299 (down from $2100).
Now, if it were me, I'd be looking for deals on the M1 and M2 Pro 14" models that have been on heavy sale and get a better laptop all-around, but if you really want the MBP13, the 24GB/1TB deal looks like hefty savings.

This sounded too good to be true, and it was. Because this is for the 13.3" macbook air with the old design. Still, really powerful hardware for the price! But personally I'd be looking for ones with the updated design (which is unfortunately, the notch).

It's not worth it. Better to spend a bit more for 16Gb.
