They had to give it for free, because no one was dumb enough to pay for it. What was really atrocious, was parks like Over Texas converting 6 lanes to SpendyPass, leaving only 2 lanes for everyone else to suffer through. At that point there needs to be coordinated civil disobedience, and everyone just drives through without stopping.

Prices are also seeming to go up, maybe at least in part to the merger with Cedar Fair. I don't think the merger is a good thing for most people but we will see, I guess.
