I have purchased from this Amazon store, it is NOT Stumptown, it's a reseller, several times beans arrived MONTHS expired. The real Stumptown has great subscriptions, and your beans are roasted a day or 2 before you receive them. The real Stumptown even sent me a free bag to apologize for this fake Amazon seller sending people expired food, which is weirdly still allowed on Amazon.

this is sold and shipped by amazon, not a 3rd-party seller. i don't doubt that they're not as fresh as buying directly from the manufacturer, though

Have you used Stumptown beans for espresso ever? What are your thoughts? I hear good things about this roaster.

Does anyone know if the flavor notes are subtle, overpowering, or unnoticed? I enjoy the flavors but my husband really enjoys black coffee

I found the citrus note overpowering to my taste; not too fond of this particular blend.

Just FYI - the other blends have the same 35% coupon. I went with the Homestead blend for $8.99 before tax.

Coffee is just one of those things you really should by as fresh as possible. Think of it this way, you're literally going to spend a couple more bucks to guarantee it's fresh by buying it in store and have a much better cup each morning for the next month.

We hang on to covfefe for awhile even in whole beans but find we can make it great by grinding right before brewing and using a french press.

I will never buy this brand again. Bought the Hundred mile blend and it was so bad I threw it in the trash.

This is the blend they recommend for espresso I think. I was not overly impressed (bought from Fresh Market locally) but it wasn't bad, just not as good as some of the other single origin roasts available IMO.

I agree with others. I've purchased from local grocers as well as Amazon (when marked down) and the taste of the beans from Amazon is noticeably worse when compared to the same beans purchased elsewhere.
I wouldn't consider myself a coffee snob or connoisseur by any means, but I did not enjoy these same beans from Amazon and barely made it through the bag.

I'm a coffee roaster and the Holler Mountain is my go-to grocery store coffee when I'm out of town or completely out of my own and no good cafes are open yet. Even if it's a little expired, you won't get as much initial offgas in your bloom but it's still going to be a perfectly fine cuppa. Not a huge fan of Hair Bender.

Got mine today. Roast date was 2-2-24 so not bad. YMMV of course. Cheers OP

The original deal was for whole bean coffee. This link goes to ground coffee. I don't realize it until I got the package today and was disappointed. At least the roast date is somewhat recent 2/14/24.
