IPS and MiniLED are not mutually exclusive terms. This laptop is MiniLED and you people who have no idea what you're talking about are just causing unnecessary confusion.
There is no version of this laptop which is not MiniLED.

- 32GB (2x 16GB) SO-DIMM DDR5 vs 16GB (2x 8GB) SO-DIMM DDR5

it's not a toughbook or overbuilt the way the old engineering laptops were (thinking of the old super heavy dells with the quadro's in them) but it's handled being knocked around a bit and hasn't had an issue yet.
i can't blow 2k on a laptop but if you can this is a decent deal.
EDIT: my ONLY complaint is the lack of 2.5gb Ethernet at the price. mainly so i can get faster transfers when moving anything i did while traveling back onto my home server

I dunno, hopefully someone chimes in that actually orders it.
Either way this thing is a behemoth and I wouldn't want to take it anywhere.

IPS refers to the "filter" or "screen" technology through which this backlighting passes through and is modulated to filter out the colors you don't want to see in a given "pixel' (from the "white" light source...Mini-LED, edge-lit LED, or otherwise).
The two are not mutually exclusive, and one does not imply nor exclude the other.

I'm sure their site is just written poorly but still, can't deny that the absence of MiniLED written under specs in no way implies its existence.

Usually "panel type" would say MiniLED, not just IPS alone. For backlight type it a says "LED". Acer must have no idea what they're talking about, not me.
Look, you're probably right and it probably has MiniLED, but that doesn't take away from the fact that Acer's specs are confusing.
