I have 3 of these and they are the best for computer repair, rc repair, and nerf. The clutch is soft enough to not strip anything. I may be tempted for a fourth just to have upstairs.

I can't agree any less. This and a set of wiha micro electronics screwdriver bits should be in every technician's edc bag.

I love mine. I started with the old Hitachi version. It's still at a project. Bought a 2nd, this version, for home on a $60. promo. I've given a few as gifts. Great feedback from recipients. Edit: I don't use for computer hardware work. I don't know why anyone would, unless mass assembly of big boxes.

Owning both, I can't tell the difference. This has a rubber flap thingy, non-pinch finger protection? Not important.

Not fully following your post - did you buy it, return it, then buy it again to get the lower price? Or did you buy it at the lower price and then return it due to the ergonomics? I'm asking because I'm considering getting this for a relative in their 70s and the need to use the thumb versus the trigger finger has me hesitant to pull the trigger (no pun intended).
Bought it on sale (earlier), returned it due to poor ergonomics when held straight. When bent, the ergonomics are better, but not enough to justify keeping it for my use. That said, it was powerful enough and had a decent clutch to prevent screws being stripped.

I have the Hitachi version and it is great. Funny story I loaned mine to a co worker that had to do a demonstration that involved taking off a lot of screws I left the clutch at the lowest setting so he could use whatever level he needed. He was so clueless he did not know there was a clutch and thought it was just bad. Not a young kid guy was mid 30s a d had 2 kids!

I have an old Hitachi one that was my go-to for many years. Unfortunately something broke on it and theres barely any torque. I tried to look into a warranty request but they gave me the runaround last time I tried to get support for it.... Supposedly on a lifetime warranty too if im not mistaken.

B&D has an excellent micro usb / usb c charging mini power driver. will not strip unless you do something dumb and is very well designed. no need to bother with having an external charger. real cheap too

I've been using my Hitachi one for years. Seems to have higher torque than done of the other automatic screwdrivers. Just be aware you can pinch your finger/hand when you straighten it out if your not careful.

Was rooting for the Metabo even before he started. Smilie It did well and the whole kit with two batteries and lifetime warranty make this a great buy IMO.
