i have been using my comma 3 since christmas of 2021. over 90,000 miles on it and i love it. this is for the newer comma 3x.

i have it on my 2020 Lexus UX250h and my 2022 RX450H

it takes driving to level 2 autonomous driving.

it will keep you in lane without having hands on the wheel.
it will keep you in lane when you are braking
it will keep you in lane during stop and go traffic.

it will do stop and go traffic. you can have both hands on a big mac in traffic and the car will start and stop.

FYI i bought mine when it was $2500 plus 200 for the cable. $1050 right now is cheap AF.

There are clones out there but i read constantly of failures. mine has worked flawlessly.
I run sunny pilot fork.

You dont need to drive a lot to need this or appreciate this device. its one of those things, once you have it and use it you'll never want to go back LOL.

Unfortunately, my car is not compatible, but I'm glad that original jailbreaker Geohot's invention reached SD/mainstream.

Just FYI, Comma can do things other OEM lane keep devices can't because they don't have to take responsibility for what happens. They are sold as a development kit and user has to take the responsibility for installing the software. If anything happens it's on you.

Been using comma since the early 'EON' version. Using the 3x now. IT.IS.AMAZING!!

I am in the market for a new car, and refuse to buy anything that isn't compatible with Comma

Like someone mentioned -- once you use it, you cannot go back

This destroys Tesla's "FSD" or "autopilot" and you can take it from car to car (if you have the right harness.
There is a huge difference between FSD and autopilot. Granted that is a 12K "upgrade". This seems more like autopilot comparable but glad I stumbled across this. Going to research and see if it works with Odyssey.

EDIT: Looks like my minivan too new. They stopped supporting after 2020. Wonder what changed that caused that.

We strongly encourage you to delay selling or deploying your product on the public roadways unless and until you can ensure it is safe."
In the days that followed, Hotz abandoned his plans to sell Comma One directly. Instead, he embarked on a regulatory workaround: this current path of selling just the hardware and open-sourcing the code behind it, meaning it is available for free. He says often, "We are not selling a consumer product."

Been using this for the last 3 years on my Honda clarity. Been solid. 100 times better then the one that comes with the car. Keeps me in the lane and in pace with the car in front of me, hands and pedal free.
I don't see Clarity in the harness selection, which one did you use for your car?

exactly what i expected. the youtube videos ive seen look really sketchy for anything but fully alert completely focused driving. theyre taking no responsibility because this product is dangerous to anyone who is already a distracted driver and thinks this is their answer.

Because manufacturers don't want a 3rd party device hijacking the steering, acceleration and braking of their cars. Toyota added a security feature to prevent this kind of hack in newer vehicles.

Doh! If this thing was more compatible with older vehicles. Like say, cars older than 15 to 20+ years ago, it'd be revolutionary. But most newer cars offer this type of tech standard already. Help me understand why would I buy this thing?

Can't believe I'm seeing a Comma deal on SD. This is getting mainstream now.

I've been using these since the early days, and a word of warning.. this is basically alpha-grade software on alpha-grade hardware. As in, it's not a validated, released software - just a bunch of code that anyone can edit.

It's basically a hacker product - "development kit" - imagine buying a kit car and you have to build it yourself, it's easy if you're a mechanic, not so easy if you've never built a car. And even then, when you're done building it, it still doesn't have airbags or air conditioning...

You should have some experience with programming/hacking stuff to be able to use this. You'll be taking apart your car, and likely need to troubleshoot stuff yourself to get it to work. You're responsible if you mess it up.

I bought this a while back when it was on sale during Black Friday (at a bit of a higher price). This is a good price for a ADAS that's better than the stock Toyota one in my RAV4 Hybrid. Definitely would recommend checking their car list to see if your car is compatible first and reading some reviews on whether this is right for you.

Like others are saying. So surprising to see comma on here. Been a user since they introduced the C2. Love it and worth every penny. The one upgrade your car needs

Been using my Comma2 since 2020 on my 2018 RAV4. I drive ALOT because of work. 95k miles later, I have to say my comma has been the single most important purchase I've made for any car. If I didn't have comma on my car I wouldn't have made some of my drives because of how exhausting the road can be. I love my comma2 but I'm considering the upgrade as I'm trying to get a newer car too

How is this helpful in city driving with Hyundai palisades? It already has adaptive cruise control for freeways that I love. Is it worth getting this on top of what standard palisades have?

Adaptive cruise is garbage compared to Comma. Yes it's very worth it.
