Can't be worse than Duracell. I swear all of them leak.

1.2v isn't accepted by every device. No one wants to charge batteries every couple months for devices that take years to discharge alkaline batteries like remotes and clocks. Everything has a place and NIMH rechargeables can't replace all the uses of alkalines.
