I got this phone in 2022, and still use it as my main phone on the Tracfone Network. I don't use much data, as I'm usually on Wi-Fi, so the data plans works fine for me. It's large and heavier than any other phone I've had/ seen, especially with a case, but beyond that it's fine. I'm on Tracfone's 5g network, and will buy a new phone with the 1500Mb/Mins/Texts for $30ish and continue my service to carry over any leftover minutes etc. I'll also occasionally "add a line" or "refer a friend" with one of these Tracfone Phone + Plan deals for 5,000 points and exchange it all for data (5GBs, where original price is $50). I've been carrying over data and adding points for years.
Would recommend to anyone who doesn't have high data needs and wants the absolute cheapest on the market.

How is this deal compare to metro pcs? For metro do you have to turn off autopay?

Just be aware that Motorola won't give you the unlock code for changing the boot firmware (like installing LineageOS) for this phone even when you are free and clear to unlock it from the carrier.
Just this specific phone, because I've done it with other Moto phones.

This is exactly what I have been doing the past 4 years, but the last 3 years I have got the Samsung A03s which is not so good. Still, I only use it when I walk and listen to audiobooks and podcasts and it is fine for that. Like you, I have used very few minutes, txts, and data in the past and my balances are high. I might leave the A03s train and go with this one.

My annual date is in June. Could I buy this now, hold for 3 months then activate?

The 1500/1500/1.5 365 days will add to your existing plan.
Or it should.
Take screenshots.
When you activate this phone, choose the option of using your exisitng A03s' number.

Metro by T-Mobile requires 180 days to unlock.
Right now, all you have to do is pay 30 days, but there is chatter that Metro may discontinue that "soon. 6 months is a long time to wait.
Autopay is automatically turned off.

I purchased 3 of these a few months ago and they have been great all around phones. I rolled my existing Tracfone Telephone number over to it and all of my existing Talk, Text and Data amounts rolled over as well as my remaining service months to the new phone. Getting a phone, a year of service and additional Text, Talk and Data for this price is awesome!! I upgrade about every 2 years and even though this appears to be a 2021 model phone, it works just fine and I highly recommend it. It runs on the Verizon Network here in Central Florida. I think I paid about $70 or so for my phone and then I was looking for one for a family member and they had run out so I had to buy them a Samsung 5G phone instead. Anyway, hopefully you can get one of these. Great Deal!

How long can I leave this laying around in a drawer before activating? I don't need a burner right now but might in a few months.
I believe you have up to a year to activate it unless they changed something recently.

Even other discount Moto G stylus 5G from pre-paid providers? I have another Motorola phone which I bought directly from Motorola which is eligible for the bootloader/firmware unlock code. Don't know about the others, but HSN deal's phone is definitely not eligible.

No and no. This HSN phone is not eligible for Motorola's bootloader unlock code. Stuck with stock firmware.

Yes, this is what I've seen in the past, but I always purchased and activated within days of current plan expiration. I am wondering if I can wait months after purchasing before activating? Thank you

Is it 1.5gb per month? I thought the plan covers 1500 mins 1500 sms and 1.5gb data over one year
