Very high input lag kills the deal for me.
For anyone that cares - these use the 2716x1528 dlp chip. So better than the 1080p chips that pixelshift to 4k.

We should really all rally together so manufacturers are required to put the chip resolution or at least the chip size/model in specs.

This subject has come up many times, and here is a good video to explain it. Watch this on your 4k TV (without the 4k signal boost) or your monitor and see if you can tell.

That's cool...but so much of that video is out of sharp focus, it doesn't make an ideal test.

Hmmm... It was always sharp for me.

Got the Samsung high end projector off eBay.

Very nice, but you either need a flat white wall or to pay for a good screen.

My lightly textured off white wall is "good enough" for me, but noticeable

175" ? What are you trying to compensate for? Lol

A 225" projection screen could fit my family room, but I haven't found one yet. I saw a 300" Da-Lite motorized screen on Amazon for $100, but it cost $1,200 for shipping, still a great deal, but it won't fit my home.

This vs the formovie?
No experience with this projector but I bought the Formovie theater UST last June. It developed a dead pixel at the beginning of April. Was able to get an RMA for warranty repair. Shipped it out in April, they declared the unit defective May 9th. Didn't tell me anything so I emailed their repair support to find out what's going on May 18th.

They said it's defective and needs to go to China for repair. It's still sitting in the warehouse in the United States. No timetable for when it will be repaired. They said they could send me a refurbished unit with an unknown amount of hours as a replacement if I don't want to wait for the repair. They haven't returned my emails since Monday.

So I paid 3000 dollars for a projector that went bad in 8 months and absolutely terrible customer service. Almost 2 months without the projector at this point. I would recommend any other brand over Formovie.

That's crazy. I was looking into the formovie and ultimately decided to wait on it. Almost pulled the trigger. Maybe before football season I'll buy a new PJ. Thank you for your experience.
