No deal. Had the D3 14" Wok sitting in my cart since last week at $109. Now that this "sale" with a 10% off coupon and free shipping, they jacked up the price to $129 with negligible savings after applying the coupon. Home and Cook Sales used to be good, now they're just being deceptive to their consumers.

What's the difference between $100 SD5 nonstick pans listed here and the $60 Amazon 2-pc? Is the SD5 going to last much longer? Based on my experience, the $60 Amazon one lasts around 1 year. https://www.amazon.com/All-Clad-E...r=8-2&th=1

You've noted already that nonstick-coated pans should be used gingerly and thrown out after a short period of time, because the coatings degrade and release toxins into your kitchen. This is why smart cooks avoid nonstick-coated pans, or keep just one of them in their arsenal for delicate low-heat tasks like certain egg dishes. Given that they are destined for the landfill in short order, and shouldn't be used for tasks that require a lot of heat retention, I don't recommend getting a heavy and expensive nonstick like the SD5. It's a waste of a lot of good steel. In fact, I don't recommend paying more than $25-$30 for a nonstick-coated pan. The set on Amazon is OK, but the pans are small. The nonstick-coated skillet that I recommend is the 12" Tramontina Professional, which is usually $25-$30 at Costco. Second choice would be the Oxo 12" nonstick skillet.
