I got the 300 nit Intel version (5630) of this laptop for $599 on the other deal and I'm slightly livid. The laptop in this deal comes with the '65W AC Adapter' which would be the barrel adapter I'm assuming, but the Intel I got came with a USBC power adapter so now I literally only have 2 USB-A ports while docked/charging.

I have the 5630 (Intel Version) and that states an aluminum exterior shell, but I cannot find out information directly on the 5635 (this deal). Another laptop, the 5625, was aluminum. Having considered that, this laptop is probably also aluminum. Knowing this, the 5630 and the 5635 are comparable and my experience with the 5630 so far is that the build quality feels great and rigid. It was no heavier than your typically laptop and it weighs 4.28lbs. I tried to find out information on trackpad material but couldn't. However, the surface feels very smooth and I don't see it degrading over time. Lastly, the hinges are metal with plastic coverings. Overall, with what I paid $450 for the $600 5630 with 25% cashback (make sure to check the cashback site that starts with R, your credit card cashback and use Dell's 10% off with email signup), the build quality I got was great. Only issue I had was fan noise as I stated above, but the AMD CPU's in this laptop run cooler so you won't have that issue.

Sign up for Dell's email signup to get 10%, I would try 2 emails because you never know if you've tried to use one before in the past. Took an hour or 2 to get the email.

That's great, my Chase only had 5%. FYI people utilizing card bonus cashback, might want to check your points awarded. I noticed Chase only awarded me 1% post purchase and I had to call them to tell them I activated a 5% Chase offer for Dell.

HDMI 1.4 is a joke that Dell continues to play, hard pass. Even my Staples clearance Toshiba laptop from 10 years ago could do 4K@30Hz.

If Dell can make a screw cheaper by reducing its threads to save 1 cent then they will. It always astounds me how far they will go.

I think they take calculated bets to cheap out on certain features assuming normal people won't notice.
