I just bought 2 - 40 Oz. packages of Kirkland Extra Fancy Salted Mixed Nuts at Costco. They are now packaged in a Plastic Bag that carries the claim "85% REDUCED PLASTIC COMPARED TO THE JAR"!!!
This Costco store no longer offered the Plastic jar packed version...
The cost $12,49 each with no tax in TX. The math shows that these are cheaper than the Planters Nuts!
12.49 / 40 = .31225/Oz. Vs $9.98 / 27 = .3696296296296296/Oz, IMHO, The Costco nuts are superior in taste to the Planters version. Your opinion may vary.

So, the OP has done a very good job providing price research on this item being posted on SD. I can see that additionally it has been posted once for cheaper (https://slickdeals.net/f/17018323), but otherwise has been Front Paged three times in the past year for ~ $9.50. The community voted this item at this price to the Front Page.
That said, I invite you to find this or any other items at a better price and post them! Better deals make this a better site for all!
My experience with this is way more Almonds than anything. You can see some of the customer videos to show this as well. Almonds are listed 2nd after cashews in the ingredients, but seems like many more than cashews.
I would be happier with half the almonds & adding some peanuts and/or a higher content of the more exotic nuts, which are few and far between.

i got the same deal last may--the higher "regular" prices were put in during covid, and now companies "lower" the prices to make you think you're getting a deal--If people boycotted them for a while you would really see the prices come down

Oct 2023 wasn't covid/this is not an inflation point. This deal really just lacks the coupon available for that deal.

i know that wasnt covid, but the price was put up during covid and not brought back down--by having coupons and sale prices they try and get the buyers back on the band wagon , whle not dropping the base price

Nothing beats Costco nuts for the money. Planters Deluxe are hot trash compared to them.
