Cold Stone has a weird pricing system. If you buy a single scoop or their largest creation the price is within a $1. I believe they charge $6 for a single scoop and $6.80 for their largest creation sundae at my nearest location. So the price for two would be over $10 before tax, then you have a BOGO coupon to bring the price in half. I would not buy anything other than the largest size for this deal. Put the rest in the freezer and then take out for room temp for about 15 minutes before eating is the best way to maximize this deal.

Good deal. I remember liking their ice cream from years ago. I also recently got into making ice cream at home, and I highly recommend it. Not only it's a huge money saver but also super fun and easy. You just freeze a bowl overnight, mix ingredients, and churn it in a machine (then mix in whatever toppings you want). I made rum raisin ice cream the other day because stores don't carry it anymore. It was sooooo good (I soaked raisins for days, not just hours).

I went to my local cold stone creamery and asked about the BOGO, lady said ok, I just had to give her my phone number. Thanks!

We got 2 larges and 2 mediums (I tried to tell my friends the large was a better deal!!) and we forgot about the free first topping. 🫣

Do you have a link to the appliance you use?

If you buy two and store 1 in the fridge, isnt this the same to just buy their pint or quart box?

I was excited about free ice cream, but I checked my local store and signature creations are $8.50/$10/$12.50 for their three sizes. Is that normal or just a pricey location? $6.25 for a large sundae doesn't sound like a crazy-good deal to me, but maybe these things are insanely massive?

large at my local place is under $8. i wouldn't call it a massive proportion, though it's more than most people would eat as a large serving. the high price point comes from the quality:
  • Cold Stone Creamery's ice cream has a higher butterfat content than most ice creams (12-14%; compare to Dairy Queen soft serve at 5% which isn't even high enough to be called ice cream)
  • It's also made using a low overrun (low amount of air churned into the ice cream). This creates a richer, smoother mouthfeel, which pairs beautifully with the ice cream's freshness.

I just checked other locations around me and while none are as cheap as they are around you, they all vary. A large is $9.49, $9.99, $10.49, $10.89. and $12.00 depending on location. Kinda weird, maybe they're franchises.

Just know that at home ice cream is costlier no matter how you wing it.Its mainly about the control or flavors and ingredients, fresh store made ice cream is better for the same flavor since they make it same day and use better machines.
you must be a very privileged person and obviously uninformed.
