Notice the difference in wording between this and the Office Depot Chase offer. On the Office Depot Chase offer, it says "Earn 5% cash back on all of your Office Depot purchases, until a $5.50 cash back maximum is reached."

However, on this offer, it says "Earn 10% cash back on your The Home Depot purchase, with a $54.00 cash back maximum." And then it also says later "Offer valid One time only." (which it did not say by the Office Depot offer).

So it seems very clear that this will only work on your first purchase, and not multiple purchases.
Thanks! I was looking for this information.
I purchased $500 digital gift card, and it now shows I saved $50. So for those who wonders if you need digital vs physical card, digital works

Probably not. HD online gift card sale is processed through a 3rd party platform and coded differently by the credit card companies, neither as from "Home Depot" nor in the "online retail sales" categories. My experience of a similar offer from Citi credit card.

Did you purchase the e-gift card or physical gift card from homedepot?

Usually if the gift cards are handled by 3rd party, when you check out, the url will jump to different website even the page still looks like you're with the merchant. But for homedepot, when I click check out for orders of gift card, the url is still homedepot.

trying to buy physical gift card but keep getting this error message: We were unable to process your payment. Review your card details and try again. If the issue persists, contact your card issuer or try another payment method.

Why not buy online and ship to home to save a trip to the store? Am I missing something here?

And it's the same price online at $549, see link: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Honda.../327851753

That should work too. Even better. The one thing I like about pick up is that if they try to give me one that looks like a return, I can exchange it on the spot since i'm already there. But with something on the bigger side like this, it might be worth taking your chances and just having them ship it to you. Worst-case scenario, you need to haul it back and order a new one.

I bought digital gift cards, shows on credit card (pending right now) that it is from Homedepot.com, seems like it should work fine. Had a $700 purchase, so bought gift cards with two different cards ($500 and $200) to get the full amount at 10% off.

They're wanting to be 100% of an online order whereas there is concern that an in-store pickup could be denied the cashback.

Bought some physical gift cards and it shows as pending Homedepot.com. Likely good to go, and Chase is usually pretty good about it if you have issues.

It won't disappear like Amex's system. That's one of the crappy flaws of Chase offers.

Surely someone looking at a Home Depot thread has experience with garage door openers and can chime in here to help me make an informed decision (while saving 10%)... thanks for reading in advance.

TLDR:

Chamberlain B4505T $229 or
Chamberlain B4603T $269 or
Chamberlain B4655T $299 or ???

Camera and battery backup are not a dealbreaker for me. I would like an external keypad. Belt drive, DC, 3/4hp is where I am at after researching.

Wall mount (RJO101) is an option if it were a clear winner. I guess $500 would be worth it over the next 20 years but would you recommend DIY or should it be installed by a pro? Trying not to overthink it. 😆

I have an ancient Craftsman 75th anniversary 1/2 hp screw drive garage door opener, purchased somewhere around 2002. It was installed in my apartment garage and later in my house with attached 2 car garage purchased 2005. Been working like a champ ever since, until recently.

The door opens and closes fine (newer springs and rollers within 5 years), but the remote range is hit or miss recently. I have a separate MyQ installed (for years), and even it has become hit or miss which leads me to believe the opener may be on its last legs (board). 22 years of service and all. Bought a new Chamberlain remote and it didn't change anything. Sometimes it opens from street, sometimes I have to be up near the door. Intermittent.

I think the openers I mentioned fit the bill, just wondering if the camera and battery are worth $70? I have a Wyze cam in the garage and Wyze lock with keypad on the front door, so a camera and battery backup are not a requirement for me. If I could reuse my existing external keypad (not likely) I wouldn't even need one and could go for the B2211T for $179.

Last time Amex Offers had like $15 back on $150 purchase at HD online or in-store -- I purchased a physical gift card on their website and it worked (plus 3% back on Amex Blue for online retail purchase). I'd expect buying a physical card will work for this Chase Offer.
