Notice the difference in wording between this and the Office Depot Chase offer. On the Office Depot Chase offer, it says "Earn 5% cash back on all of your Office Depot purchases, until a $5.50 cash back maximum is reached."

However, on this offer, it says "Earn 10% cash back on your The Home Depot purchase, with a $54.00 cash back maximum." And then it also says later "Offer valid One time only." (which it did not say by the Office Depot offer).

So it seems very clear that this will only work on your first purchase, and not multiple purchases.
Thanks! I was looking for this information.
I purchased $500 digital gift card, and it now shows I saved $50. So for those who wonders if you need digital vs physical card, digital works

Since you guys say it's valid on HD gift cards the obvious follow up is can we use HD gift cards in store to buy other gift cards?
Why not directly buy the other gift cards?

Where do you see the 10% bonus on chase? I purchased some stuff but don't see it anywhere, does it take a while to show up?

I was, I added the offer and made the purchase, my question was where do you see the activity? Amex sends you emails letting you know you used the offer, how do you know if the offer was activated with Chase?

Chase will usually email you about 5 business days after the purchase that you redeemed the offer.

You'll see the credit in the transaction history.

Depending on your billing cycle, the statement credit may not appear until the next statement.

I get that - but ultimately aren't you going to the store to exchange the HD cards for something else? So you can skip the online step.

Surely someone looking at a Home Depot thread has experience with garage door openers and can chime in here to help me make an informed decision (while saving 10%)... thanks for reading in advance.

TLDR:

Chamberlain B4505T $229 or
Chamberlain B4603T $269 or
Chamberlain B4655T $299 or ???

Camera and battery backup are not a dealbreaker for me. I would like an external keypad. Belt drive, DC, 3/4hp is where I am at after researching.

Wall mount (RJO101) is an option if it were a clear winner. I guess $500 would be worth it over the next 20 years but would you recommend DIY or should it be installed by a pro? Trying not to overthink it. 😆

I have an ancient Craftsman 75th anniversary 1/2 hp screw drive garage door opener, purchased somewhere around 2002. It was installed in my apartment garage and later in my house with attached 2 car garage purchased 2005. Been working like a champ ever since, until recently.

The door opens and closes fine (newer springs and rollers within 5 years), but the remote range is hit or miss recently. I have a separate MyQ installed (for years), and even it has become hit or miss which leads me to believe the opener may be on its last legs (board). 22 years of service and all. Bought a new Chamberlain remote and it didn't change anything. Sometimes it opens from street, sometimes I have to be up near the door. Intermittent.

I think the openers I mentioned fit the bill, just wondering if the camera and battery are worth $70? I have a Wyze cam in the garage and Wyze lock with keypad on the front door, so a camera and battery backup are not a requirement for me. If I could reuse my existing external keypad (not likely) I wouldn't even need one and could go for the B2211T for $179.
Are you using LED bulb(s) in the opener? That will kill the remote range, didn't believe it until I experienced it. Says in the manual to avoid them, of course it's probably on like page 56 LOL.

I considered that too, unscrewed the LED bulbs to check and made no difference. I thought maybe this old tech opener is having interference with all the WiFi signals in the neighborhood, etc but the MyQ within feet of the opener is having the same intermittent opening issue. I unplugged it too to see if anything changed, and it didn't. First world problems for sure. Thanks for reading and providing a possible solution.

I would feel better replacing if it just stopped working altogether, I can't help but wonder if a new opener would actually solve it. Not a fan of installing a new one, finding out it didn't change anything, then returning it. I'm justifying the swap since it has been in service for 20+ years and could give out any day now. 😆

I think most merchants won't let you use their own gift cards to buy third party gift cards.

At least for Chase Freedom, I have to log into my account; go under Your Offers; Add the Home Depot 10% offer. There are other retailers too under the Your Offer.

After you used the Chase Card at the retailer that, you can track it in the account under Offers redeemed or you also get an email. This is different from the quarterly 5% bonus categories.

Banks offering Chase Visa Cards also have these offers. But need lot of effort to check on the website and activate the offer.
