Notice the difference in wording between this and the Office Depot Chase offer. On the Office Depot Chase offer, it says "Earn 5% cash back on all of your Office Depot purchases, until a $5.50 cash back maximum is reached."
However, on this offer, it says "Earn 10% cash back on your The Home Depot purchase, with a $54.00 cash back maximum." And then it also says later "Offer valid One time only." (which it did not say by the Office Depot offer).
So it seems very clear that this will only work on your first purchase, and not multiple purchases.
Thanks! I was looking for this information.
I purchased $500 digital gift card, and it now shows I saved $50. So for those who wonders if you need digital vs physical card, digital works

Alright, what is the consensus on making an online purchase for in-store pickup? I am seeing this thread in retrospect of making said purchase last week, assuming it was a slam dunk to qualify, and like 99% of other stores in the world it would show up on my statement as a homedepot.com purchase.
But instead I see that it showed up as though I made a purchase at Home Depot store #XXXX. It does says "online" in the details, but I am guessing Chase is looking for "homedepot.com".

Activated the Home Depot 10% in the Chase App for my Freedom Unlimited card.
Ordered my garage door opener (Chamberlain B4505T) online using the Home Depot app for in-store pickup on 03/23/2024 and paid with the Freedom card. Picked it up same day.
It has posted as:
THE HOME DEPOT #3811. $246.18.
There is now a credit of $24.62 posted on 03/28/2024. The Type says "Adjustment".
Does a digital gift card not work? I ordered a $540 digital gift card on 3/25 and the line item on the statement says HomeDepot.com. But I still have not seen a credit. Can someone confirm?
Hm, so I tried to buy a $540 gift card today. No go (the purchase was blocked by HD, not by Chase). After a bit a back and forth with HD' so-called customer service, I was informed that there is a new policy not to accept credit cards for gift card purchases. PayPal and debit cards are apparently OK. I find this hard to believe.

That sounds like made up stuff some agents say when they don't know the answer

So I had offered two items on Home Depot.com. One was a $500 gift card and the other was $60 worth of salt for in store pickup.
$500 gift card was charged as Home Depot.com.
$60 salt was charged as as Home Depot #store number
I got screwed. They only applied the the discount to the $60 salt. Only got $6 offer back.
So pickup does work, but make sure you max out the pickup.
