You don't have to be samsung employee. It's called EPP which is available to many employers. You can sign up for AAA and get same discount.

Not a good tv. Entry level, 60hz refresh rate. I believe this one is the same model or very similar. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...q60cd-qled

So maybe just me. But for less than $600 delivered for a 70 inch are critics on this string being a bit rough/expecting too much, is their really anything that much better at this price point and size? Serious question
Think this has basically been answered already throughout this post.
This isn't a 'bad' TV for the size and price it's offered. Many people have stated that it is not a 'good' TV though, relative to what would generally be considered good in the overall television market currently. It is a good TV and relatively good deal for people like myself that are looking for a 70 inch TV to replace an aging older model with similar middle of the road specs.
For those with more discerning tastes, I can't imagine they would even be slightly interested in this level of TV, let alone say anything good about it. Depending on what you're looking for, I think you'll find your answer here already if you can ignore the trolls and insults for no reason.

Thanks for reply. Tough sorting through fact, opinion and such here, and appreciate your comments. Just in between keeping the tv on this post or 75 Hisense a6 series for about $200 less

Selling your data has become the more important product TV companies deliver and they're happy to take the loss on the panel.

People seem to be confusing HZ rate with FPS or frame rate.

Modern LCD TV's can interpolate between consecutive frames and generate additional frames. So a 120hz TV running 24fps content will interpolate 5 frames. Basically generating frames in between frames. To reduce motion blur. So there is a benefit to going with a 120hz display.

On a 60hz LCD. The 24fps content has to be converted to 30fps first. "3:2 pulldown" And to do that the 24fps content is stretched from 4 frames to fit into 5. Which causes some ghosting or motion blur. That's why most TV's have a smooth motion setting.

Most screens are now 120hz to get rid of the ghosting and motion blur. However some 24fps content is already converted to 30fps or 60fps. Which can cause a bit of an issue for 120hz displays. Such as juddering or banding.

Beyond 120hz. has no real benefit for 24fps content.

I agree. My 60 inch Samsung I got in 2013 set me back a bit. It finally went out last year and I was shocked how cheap a 75inch and 85inch were. I bought both for the price I paid for that one TV back then. What shocked me even more than the cheap price was how lightweight these TVs are now. That 2013 TV was well over 100lbs.
I feel you on that. I paid 1,800 for my LG OLED C2 65" refurbished. About a year ago. And around the time it's cheapest to buy a TV. Base is 40lbs. I got the same 65 Roku TV Philips for 300. Yes it's not as nice but it does it's job.

Just one example, but this 75" is on another frontpage Slickdeal for only $350 and is rated slightly better. So bigger, better, and cheaper.

Keep in mind that Rtings reviewed the 65" A65K that has a VA panel. The 75" more than likely has an ADS-IPS panel like all the other 2023 Hisense models. Since Rtings' rating criteria favors VA over ADS-IPS, the 75" A65K will rate lower than the 65". https://www.displayspecifications...l/dd1b3365

The price you're referencing is a clearance price from BJ's which not only requires a membership but also requires you to live within a reasonable distance of a BJ's location as well as that location actually having stock. Prior to that Costco had it at $500 which is only a slight bit cheaper than this but that also requires a membership which makes it inaccessible to someone like me who doesn't live close enough to a Costco to even consider a membership.

This deal is a pretty good price on a decent TV at a good size that can actually be shipped straight to your door. The only criteria for it is having access to EDU/EPP which for the most part doesn't cost anything. Not to mention, I'm a little more inclined to trust Samsungs quality than I am Hisense's. Sure, Hisense isn't bad but there's a greater chance the Samsung outlives the Hisense and that's an important factor.

Great deal for me. Signed in to my Samsung account first. Then clicked on the Samsung Discount Program link the OP provided and selected Military/Veteran discount. Added the 70" QE1C TV to my cart and prompted me to sign in to my ID.ME verification. All-in cost with tax and free shipping was $571.13. I will be able to sell my 8-year old 2016 Samsung UHD model for $300-400 on Offerup. Thanks @smartDime227!

How does this compare to TCL S470 for $400 plus tax?

Both 70 inches but TCL is just LED. Is $120 worth badge and QLed?

Do you get an offer to pair it with a Q series soundbar? I saw some great combos back when I was considering a Samsung TV

I finally set up my Samsung EPP through https://www.perksatwork.com/login, and I see the employee pricing now. This 70" is too big for my needs, but I can see other deals via EPP for 65" and 50" tvs
Eventhough price shows 527$ through employee pricing. At checkout the price is still 879$.
So any help to get this deal ?
