Some options are cheaper on Amazon by a bit and they're at their normal price. 5kg rapid black PLA is $72 though this deal or $67 through Amazon (1 4pack plus 1 single roll) with additional 5% off with Prime card. If you want specific colors then this deal will get you a free roll but prices don't seem any less than the normal discount on their site.

I link to a published scientific journal and an industry artical indicating otherwise, neither selling a thing, but obviously your emperical experince trumps both. Sounds about right for 21st century science. Filament's been tossed, along with your anecdotes.
I have 8 years of 3D printing experience and built my first 4 3D printers from parts kits (Anet A8's )sI own 4 Anet A8's all hand assembled then taken apart and turned into AM8's with parts to build about 3 more , 1 CR10S5, 2 ender 3 NEO's and a K1MAX and have done more than a bit of 3D printing in that time so I know just a tad about what I am speaking of here! Theoretical and practical differences happen all the time Mr. Wizzard and I am talking about practical experience not theoretical!
Glad you threw out the troublesome filament, it is about time, it was truely unbelieveable you were wasting that much time on a $15 roll of filament but even more so because you are working for a company and wasting a companies time! Time is money everywhere, even in a non-profit! lol i try to help you and your toxic back, later kid, good luck!

You've openly admited that a) moisture has some affect on pla b) not all filament is equal, and c) some filament is not worth salvaging; but are too obtuse to admit that maybe the degradation caused by humidity over time damages a specific set of filament beyond repair. Nobody is arguing that water is some bogeyman coming for your filament if you don't vac seal it every night. Don't think I'm the one in need of luck.

ROFL so pathetic that you have nothing better to do than try to get a rise out of a random person on the internet that tried to help you! Must be why you work at a non profit and can't get a real job LULZ!

I work at a non profit because I'm good at it and prefer their missions. Nice take at trying to be classist tho. It's soo crazy that each one that I worked with over the past 15 years has seen budget balancing and surplus tied to initiatives that I've put forth; but hey, must be a fluke like my filament. Even managed to streamline programming to the point that I can take on additional responsibilities like rebooting 3d printing from someone else's debacle, and expanding our other CAD options. In the meantime, I'm provided ample time for the lolz.

While "tried to be helpful" is one take, catering to the wrong side of Occam's Razor is more accurate. Initially, yes, you shared information on what helped you with something similar. What's not helpful is pole vaulting to the conclusions that there's this litany of things probably wrong with my printer; while ignoring the obvious evidence of dissimilarity of moisture migration between filaments, peer review of similar findings from chemists, and general consensus among manufacturers. Not wanting to change your practice because you are not experiencing something is one thing, saying another's experience is false with significant undetermined variables involved is another.

For those with Bambu printers, do you find the "rapid" variant useful? In what ways?

Nope! Just get the regular PLA+. I tried the rapid stuff and wasn't impressed with the print quality compared to the normal PLA.

Great deal. Elegoo is my go-to filament on my Bambu Lab
Elegoo is nice, but the filament I found the most shocking in a good way, was Creality. Man that stuff was fast and neat! I found it overall to be on par with the Bambu stuff.

On the Bambu site they have no recommendation for drying PLA at all and I've never really seen a filament company say it is necessary, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
