They're not fancy, but the Sony Core Atmos speakers aren't terrible if you throw them on the wall/ceiling. At about $100/pair, they worked great for my 7.4.2 setup when the others were all a lot pricier

I'm looking for my height speakers but these cost more than my monolith encore t6 and b6.
The cheap as in me just can't do it.

You don't need special speakers for atmos. But also, my experience with high mounted horn tweeters has been very poor.
I've seen the term horn tweeters mentioned a few times, and I don't know what that is. I have been looking at Klipsch speakers to upgrade my current system. Can you explain what horn tweeters are?
Atmos speakers are overrated. If you're running a home theater surround sound, have good main speakers, rear, and use ceiling speakers. Get yourself a good sub like an SVS and an AV or amp that can handle all the speakers and your good to go
What exactly do you consider "Atmos speakers" if they're not ceiling height mounted channels?
If you're talking about the ones that have up firing channels, I don't think anyone in this thread would fall for that snake oil.
These trapezoidal speakers just make it easier to position the channel accordingly, but there's no reason you couldn't use pivot mounts with regular speakers.

I presume you mean that upfiring speakers are overrated (since I presume your ceiling speakers are for atmos). They are harder to integrate (auto room correction systems don't handle them very well), but, if you know what you're doing, results can be very good. And not everyone can run speakers into their ceiling.

It's a type of design of tweeter(part of the speaker).
It really has no relevance on whether it's gonna work well or not as an Atmos placed speaker TBH.
