Heya, a few suggestions since I've been there, nausea'd that:

Do short sessions, like 20-30 minutes max.
When you have an option to 'teleport vs. smoothly walk somewhere, take the teleport option.
Many games have additional "comfort" options; consider activating those
In general, if you're standing still in the VR world and creatures or things are coming at you, you're gonna be fine. The challenge happens when you're moving through VR-land and your brain gets confused that your motion in that world isn't matching what you're doing with your legs.
So some people have found that actually walking in place can help (though I never tried that).
Lastly, a lot of us oddly have found that positioning a table fan or any fan really on us while we're VR'ing can stave off motion sickness.

But the most important advice out of all of that is really just taking it slow. Trying a bit more each day and easing into things over a week or two. At least for me, it took me nearly two weeks to feel generally comfortable with most VR games and I was definitely initially queasy when starting out!

Good luck! Smilie

P.S. -- Some games where you're barely moving at all can be a great way to spend your time in VR, like Gadgeteer or the new Humanity game.
I own all of these and bought off of recommendations from here on prior sales, all are very good, just depends on what you are into.

Some of these games are discounted the same 30% or much more on Steam. Like Arizone Sunshine (30%-35%) or Zero Caliber (67%).

When Steam has games on sale buy them on there and they have the Spring sale going on right now. Much more of a selection at a better price on a tried and true gaming service.

Virtual Desktop is a must to unlock more of the headsets capabilities and potential.
Is it still needed when steam link exists?

Noooo dawg teleport is a one way ticket to vomtown. Wherever there's disjointed movement between physical and in game then I get a sharp spike of nausea 🥺

I just wish beatsaber wasn't so difficult to add custom songs. The song list they have is... not great.

Disagree completely. I can only play with teleport and snap-turning. I also highly recommend a fan blowing directly at your face during gameplay. No idea why, but it helps immensely.

Walkabout Mini-Golf Is my favorite VR game of all time. The developers have been doing an awesome job with new courses and it's just a blast to play with others

Can anyone recommend games that are good while sitting?
Moss and Moss II are both excellent. You sit and control a mouse protagonist in 3rd person. When the mouse exits the scene, you load into the next one, so you're always sitting in a static scene. You reach into the environment with your hands and interact with the environment and the mouse for puzzle solving and combat. You might need to lean in a little bit to locate all of the optional collectible scrolls. Vaguely Zelda-like. There is a basic linear narrative that has children's storybook vibes.

It really depends. Virtual desktop you can go deep with the customization and has some features the others don't. It's really a game by game basis on which one performs the best.

For instance one feature they just added is Inside-Out Body Tracking To Emulate Worn Vive Trackers. Which is used alot by VR chat users.

I'd say it's still a must buy.

I would still suggest it for the sale price. It works really well and is very user friendly. I've actually found some games work better in Virtual Desktop vs Steam link.

Wasn't a fan of Vader immortal. I played it on the ps vr.

Very low story replyability, you're pretty much watching a movie with a few fighr scenes thrown in. Fun yes, but WAY too short. 30 minutes per episode and maybe 5 of that actually doing something. You can extend game time by going in the dojo, bit that never clicked for me and I eventually gave up after dying too many times. Glad I rented and didn't buy it.

I just got a Quest 3 last month, but didn't really use it for anything other than media watching. It is comfortable just laying down in bed to watch a movie. I tried Asgard's Wrath II but got motion sickness within 3 minutes and just left it. Gave me such a bad experience, I didn't really purchase anything (other than Virtual Desktop).

Any recommendations for games that'll suit someone who doesn't have 'VR-legs'?
Real VR Fishing has a trial before buying. Great game to relax a little and enjoy. Highly recommend.
