This model does supports Variable Refresh Rate. It runs at 120hz refresh, when plugged into a power source and 60hz on battery.

There's a chrome flag that allows the LCD to run at 120hz at all times.

No touchscreen ruins it for me. Of course 8GB of RAM is plenty for Windows though. Like so much more than needed.
And I have a weird mental block against refurbished.

I received the 2 I ordered yesterday, opened one of them, looks brand new! And really love the screen. I dont tend to use touchscreens on laptops, so its perfect for me. The RGB keyboard is a nice change of pace.

FYI, processor i3-1215U was released Feb 23, 2022, so it's no older than that...anyone see the date on this specific device? Hoping Chrome OS updates go for at least another 5 years?

Not mental block for sure, probably burned from past experience. Just like how "Like new" can be YMMV. The one I received had bad chemical smell and some cosmetic issues that I will probably return.

I just received mine. The condition is very good, with a few smudges, but overall, very good. I was concerned about the EMMC hard drive and the complexities of upgrading to an SSD. I have to say there is absolutely zero lag when opening and switching between applications. I had initially purchased my employee's Macbook Pro 13s with an M2 processor and a 256 GB hard drive. We want to sell all of them because there is noticeable lag when using multiple tabs in Chrome, with the most evident issue being when you use Chrome and Spotify simultaneously. This thing for $200 is way faster for day-to-day productivity using Google Workspace applications, and it only costs $200. I'm very pleased with this device.

What a beauty! Received mine a few days ago and it looks brand new. No lag, beautiful screen and very nice keyboard. What a value at $200. And top it off with the included Allstate 2 year warranty and updates thru 2032. Fantastic deal.
