One quote worth noting: "Right now, I like Gloomhaven's digital console release a lot despite the few issues, but would not recommend it on Switch if you have access to another platform. It isn't terrible on Switch, but the cutbacks to visuals, longer load times, and interface issues are exacerbated in the Switch release."

Seems like a pretty cut and paste review of virtually every switch port of a multi-release game.

I'm not sure how it is on Switch (or with a controller in general), but the PC version was a great digital port. The mechanics in general are very good and I got through several times more missions in a month than in 2 years of playing the physical game in person with friends.

Absolutely agree, They knocked it out of the park translating it to the digital world with no real compromises that I have found. The only complaint I have is that time it takes to unlock co-op to be able to play with Friends. I get the tutorials but there should be an option to skip it. Played it on my PC locally, via steam link to the TV in the living room and in my asus rog without issues. I wouldn't go smaller than a 7" screen or the text will be too hard to read. Otherwise love it, I need to get another copy on steam or Xbox so I can co-op with the gf. She loved playing the board game but it was a chore to haul and setup at a friend's house.
