Disagree. My son is now 13 and hasn't read them in years but they definitely got him more interested in reading and that trumps any concern about potty humor for me.

Good price,
Lousy books.

If you haven't already introduced your child to this series, please take a look at them before you do.

They're just not good books.
Can you elaborate?

They're actually pretty relatable to most kids. They're well written as far as sentence structure and coherence. If you have a young writer or reader that struggles to flow writing ideas this would be a good start.

They are good books, but IMO ages 8 or 10 and beyond. Lots of poop jokes and stuff like that. If they already learn that at home, then go nuts! It's low-brow stuff but the stories are really good.

We love them. Hoping to score tix to Loded Diper this summer!

My 3rd grader loves this series. I am glad he has found something he likes and is choosing to read on his own. He likes this and Dogman.

Hipocracy. Hipocracy is what's wrong with that.

Edited to add:

If you want your kid to enjoy the fiction books they read, I guess it does not really matter if it is the Whimpy Kid series or the bible, as long as they enjoy reading it. I do not agree with giving young kids fiction books that have so much killing and sex as the bible, but to each their own.

My 9 year old daughter loves these books. Rather her read anything vs not read and be on her iPad all day! 👍🏼

It definitely gets reluctant readers to turn pages, but it's not the type of book that makes a person think or learn new words. It's like putting closed captioning on a Looney Toons show. I think the creator is a genius though. He found a niche and if he's smart, he'll let AI write the next 100 sequels.
