Same config is over $3,000 MSRP or over $1,700 on sale from HP direct but wont ship until next month. I bought mine in Costco store for cheaper but the posted price is clearance pricing so stock may vary. Nice almost 2 pounds laptop you can charge from either side with flexible braided cord. It has the now rare HDMI port for this kind of ultralight form factor. keyboard is spacious with large letters.

You expected discrete graphics in a 2.2 lbs Ultrabook?

Saw this at Costco. I'm a fan. Currently a gen 10 carbon X guy but look and feel of this maybe nicer. Would get if my x wasn't still very suitable today.

Bought this last week for my son who leaves for college this year. This is a fantastic ultraportable laptop that's loaded to the gills. Very comparable (IMHO) to the Dell XPS 13.

Was $1099.99 during BF and Xmas. Does Costco ever drop even further to clear them out if not moving?

I saw it at Costco, I love the look and feel of it, not to mention it's lightweight at 2.2 lbs.

But I keep wondering if it's worth getting over the Asus Zenbook 14 which has a better Processor (Intel Core Ultra 7) and Arc graphics and costs $300 less.

Does it feel like it can take a little abuse? Usually these light weight ones flex and crap but 2.2lbs is crazy light.

It's surprisingly solid, the body is made of magnesium.

Where are you seeing a 32GB Asus Zenbook 14 for $800?

Sorry, the regular Zenbook 14 has only 16 GB RAM, the one with 32 GB is $1300.

I ended buying this model and I really like it. The hardware quality is top notch, no flex or cheap plastics, the keyboard and touchpad are excellent as well.

I'm still trying to measure the actual battery life, it seems to last at least a whole day with regular use.

Performance wise, I don't have a benchmark, but it's pretty responsive overall.

The screen is bright, and the speakers are loud and clear.

There is the usual HP bloatware on it.

I totally recommend it, and the fact that it comes with the 2 year Costco warranty is an added bonus.

So I heard that the Costco model has a 68Wh battery and actually weighs almost 2.6lbs, and not 2.2lbs. The 2.2lbs is listed as the starting weight, so it would make sense that the 51Wh battery version weighs that.

2.2 to 2.6 is a huge jump in such a small laptop. If you have a kitchen or postal scale, can you weigh the laptop?
