Besides size. What's the deal with this TV, is it decent?
I had it installed Saturday it was 1800 for me installed
I had a 65 c1 oled that was on the wall . It's definitely it bad especially for the price if you want big , that it is I may not be the best judge of comparison since I went from one of the best pictures you can get to it . For the price it's worth it

FWIW: I bought one of those 77 inch OLEDs that everyone was arguing about a few weeks back.
I upgraded from a decade old 1080P Vizio. The picture is a lot better, but honestly not overwhelming at all. Not much wow factor even on day 1 after calibrating it.
I am thinking I would have probably been happier spending the same amount on a much larger TV.

Any buyers from the last time this was this price give their feedback?
I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on this for my home theater setup versus a UST projector + ALR.
I know its not going to be the BESTEST picture cause not OLED but frankly I just want something big and bright and 120Hz for gaming is a bonus for me.
The picture quality (brightness and contrast) on this will definitely be better than a comparable UST plus ALR screen, especially in daytime
However, if you want 120 inch screen or larger, then you were limited to the projectors
I went from a 110" LS11000 laser projector to the 100" U8K. Picture quality of the u8k is far superior. that said, it was much much harder to get the TV into my living room than the comparable projector and screen. The TV also takes up a lot more total volume especially with stand, will be much harder to move around, and could not be wall mounted as my wall would not support it. Also, I do miss watching on a projector screen - much less glare and for me lower eye strain.

Thanks for the reply! Now you gave me even more points to argue in my head

I've owned since the week this was released. I went from a 65" LG CX OLED to an 85" Sony X91J, then to this- focusing on increasing size.
Obviously, OLED is always going to win with picture quality but this really can't be beat at this point if you're looking for a huge display.
The brightness is great, but I also have this in a media room with no windows, so that opinion may be skewed.
I also use this primarily for gaming and the 4k 120hz is top notch. I have it paired direct via HDMI 2.1 to my home theater PC with an RTX 4080, then eARC to my home theater setup. VRR works great, no odd 1 second black screens when switching between apps/games - like I had with the LG and Sony TV's.
There is an option to run 1080p at 240hz and it does work- however with the massive size it just looks really bad so I keep it in 4K 120.
It does give you that feeling of being in a movie theater with a larger than life display, especially depending on the room size.
The two negatives for me:
1. Hdr looks bad, and I wouldn't even bother. It doesn't look any worse than HDR on the Sony I had, but I guess that's just LCD limitations.
2. HDMI 1 states it is capable of 4k 144hz. I have spent hours trying to build custom resolutions, etc- and it absolutely doesn't work at this point.
Overall, at this price ($1000 less than I paid back in September), I honestly can't recommend anything over/instead this - so long as size is your top priority.

This is my exact situation. It would be replacing the LG c1 65 on a bright living room. Looking for something bigger but decent. Wondering if the tradeoff in quality is worth it.
Can anyone share, Will this TV in box fit into a high-rise elevator? Live on high floor, have a large Vizio now, 70". Very bright living room, floor to ceiling windows.

For what its worth I bought this when it went on sale for $2k a couple months ago & I have a 65" LG OLED in my living room and put the 98" TCL in our finished basement. Since installing the TCL Ive watched 99% of movies and shows on it, it just makes the OLED seem tiny. Obviously the picture quality is not equal but I enjoy the movie viewing experience on the 98" TCL better than the 65" LG OLED.

I have a 65" G1 bought about two years ago for $2000. I liked having it perfectly flat on the wall. I just bought an 85" Hisense for $700…if I knew I was going to get such a big tv, I should have purchased a 77" C1 or C2. However, I'm pretty happy with my 85" for only $700. Decent quality and nice and big.

Just really depends on your elevator.
I bought a 100" TV from Amazon with white glove delivery, they had to unbox it to get it to fit into the elevator. Biggest holdups are the width of the opening, and the height of the elevator. It will probably need to be taken into the elevator vertically or at a diagonal
