Just a heads up if you are using this in an camera that will be recording 24/7. You probably want a Sandisk Max Endurance or Samsung Pro Endurance card.

This High Endurance is good for 20,000 hours or 833 days. The Sandisk will give you 13 years and Samsung will give you 16 years. Both of those will outlive your camera but the High Endurance card may crap out prematurely.

Every microSD card I purchased from Amazon has been a fake including this one. I purchased this exact card sold by Amazon.com (not third party) about 8 months ago and it turned out to be fake as my dash cam couldn't read it. Purchased the same card from Best Buy and it works flawlessly. There's a reason it's so cheap

Viofo recommends only SanDisk Max Endurance for their dash cams. SanDisk High Endurance and all of the Samsung cards are in the black list

Viofo also recommends Sandisk Extreme and Viofo Industrial cards.

"High Endurance" ya say, as opposed to what, low endurance? Is there such a thing? Has anyone ever actually worn out their SD card, from any brand/make or model?

I missed the Samsung Endurance 256GB deal at $15 last December. Still waiting for that deal to return.

I used a Samsung Evo 256gb on a Viofo A139...it crapped out giving me errors...especially on a hot day.

Not so with a Sandisk High Endurance card.

Same for use in a Raspberry pi, I've used SSDs for 2 of mine, but for the little Zero2W I went with a Pro Endurance after a ton of research.

Yes, all the freaking time. Dashcams and Raspberry pi's eat SD cards on a regular basis.

Interesting. Every card I've ever owned I still own, and they all work the same today as when they were new. I even have a few no-name elcheapos and they work too. In other words, I've never had a bad card let alone one that wore out. I do have some god awful slow cards, but they all still work the same as when they were new. I have about a dozen in total. Maybe my luck is very good or my sample size is very small....?

The Samsung equivalent has been as low as $15. If you're not in a rush, the deal will probably come back again sometime.

That's funny, because I've purchased dozens over the years, and every one I've got from Amazon was good. If you're not buying from 3rd parties, I don't know what we're doing differently, but there's got to be something. Suspiciously low pricing is usually a red flag to avoid, of course. And of course, Amazon doesn't care - they could easily flag 90% of the fakes and ban the sellers just by price cutoff alone.

I've been having issues with the Samsung 256 endurance in my viofo a119 v3. It worked "fine" (something videos weren't recorded, cam or card?, didn't know) for probably about 6 months now, then all of a sudden it starts just beeping the last 2 days. Reformating didn't work to fix. Finally replaced with another older card and cam is recording again. Did an error check on the card with built in Windows tool, no issues. 🤷🏿 ♂️
So if viofo says dont use there might actually be a reason.

Yup, this is the reason I don't buy SD cards and batteries from Amazon anymore. They don't care where they get their inventory from. And I make sure that's from Amazon/fulfilled by Amazon too!
