I don't know if anyone else has had this experience, but every single thing (king bed frame, large dresser, 2 office tables, coffee table) I've bought from wayfair has had non-negligible defects, namely major dents, scratches, large chips in the wood, (!!!!) holes drilled into the coffee table, uneven coffee table surface, etc... There does not seem to be any quality inspection on their end and/or the furniture is damaged during shipping -- my guess is it's a combination of the 2

Wayfair is just a marketplace that any merchant can sell from much like Amazon but with worse/less facilities for consumer feedback/support

Ah right, I forgot. I never buy furniture from Amazon and Walmart because their furniture seems cheaply made and the price certainly reflects that. Wayfair seems like a step up from those vendors, but all my experiences have been negative.

For things like furniture, I don't want to deal with returns (since it's such a massive PITA to return furnitur), so I usually just accept the defect and sometimes they'll offer 10-20% off for keeping it as opposed to returning.

Also, I feel like wayfair reviews aren't legitimate. The total amount (there are a lot of reviews) of reviews and the positivity reviews doesn't seem to accurately reflect the actual number of customers and their satisfication towards the product, respectively. I don't think they're putting up fake reviews but maybe they're just copying and pasting reviews from other vendors for the same product or something

There are definitely fake reviews. Sorting by most recent is your best bet.

And I've had better experiences overall with Walmart furniture purchases than both Amazon and Wayfair combined. Wayfair I rate the lowest of the bunch because deceptive pricing, undisclosed shill reviews and incorrect product descriptions.
