I use these to drill holes in the bottom of ceramic plant pots for water drainage.

And yes, good advice to start cut at an angle and then just rotate until you have a scored circle and then go straight down. If you don't do this, it just jumps all over the place.

Edit: FWIW, I got a set of 15 for $10.94 in 2016. Fascinating, I know.

Here is a current set of 15 for $12.86:

Can probably find a cheaper set.

Anyone have any experience or thoughts on how well these will work on fiberglass and gelcoat?

Is this brand good or just generic? I see other kits on Amazon for similar/better price

one of the pictures seems to show it drilling through acrylic.

Yes looks like it. I happen to have a set but wasn't sure if i could use it on acrylic.

A regular hole saw will do better in acrylic, and if it's for small holes use a regular drill bit or a spade bit

I already happen to have a diamond coated set like this. Don't have dedicated hole saws. I want to try small holes for pc modding.

You want a something with a hardened metal coating or to actually be made of cobalt, it'll look like a regular drill.

This would get eaten alive by metal.
