This is great stuff. I have used it all over the place, inside and out.

A tip that works for me, take a piece of Saran Wrap and tuck it in up close to the putty. Smoosh it in there before sealing up the can.

That seems to help save the putty longer. Works with spackle and the like as well.
Great timing, TY OP, went to open the one I bought last year and it was halfway dried up. Might want to add a little water if you don't use yours often too. Dang woodpecker went to town on our little free library, lol. Apparently they like painted plywood.
Good stuff. Make sure you receive a fresh package not dried up. When working with it, don't work from main container and always close lid to keep it from drying up.

Would this be good to repair gouged table top surface with a walnut veneer?

Sure but you would have to restain the table and the most likely apply a gloss clear coat

Great, missed the last deal on this stuff, and I have a bunch of minor wood repairs to do.

Or just throw it in fridge? I do it for superglue and they hold very well.

I used this from the last deal to rebuild some stair corners from our dog's puppyhood. As a weekend warrior, I put it on last weekend and will see how well it takes some Minwax this weekend. I was surprised how well it held together. I basically had to glob it on there and shape the bevels and corner of a completely gnawed off edge.

IMHO this is a one time use...no matter how well you re-seal the can, it degrades in effectiveness
