I don't know about you, but TracFone works out fine for me. Excellent Verizon coverage and I have WiFi available at work, home and most other places. With that plus WiFi calling and Google voice for free texts and calls I barely ever use any of my allotment. IMHO TracFone is by far the best deal when it comes to cellphone service.

I can't see any reason that wouldn't work. When the minutes are used up the phone will still function on wifi. You just won't have service through Tracfone. You'd of course be dependent on wifi connection to use google voice though, since the data on this is limited.

this will not work on at&t. it's not on their whitelist. also tracfone variant of samsung phones don't work for other Verizon sims. so even unlocked, it will only work for T-Mobile sadly.
