If you sort the reviews to just this "style", there is a pretty consistent trend of the lug crimper not being good. Just a heads up for anyone considering these, as I'd guess the lug crimper is what makes this a deal at all.

I bought a similar set from Amazon and it worked great for me. Some lugs kind of got pinched but the connection was still super strong.

Anyone use these cutters? That's all I really need but it looks like it isn't available separately.
Looking at the HF Doyle for $20 or the klein 63050 for $30

I think most of the issues people have had were the fact the dies are made for metric(mm) and they're selling them in the US. Likely you can find one that will work, it may just not be perfect. Add shrink tubing and i'd bet you'd never have an issue.

I just used these crimpers last night with zero issues. What I do is stage the crimp in the crimper... meaning, I partially close the crimper with the crimp in it so it stays in place. Then I put the wire in the crimp and finish the job. The crimp will be imprinted with the gauge number... I accidentally purchased 4 gauge crimps for 5 gauge wire, but the crimps worked just fine. Finish off with heat shrink.

I have used mine to run cables to my second battery in my truck, I have 4 batteries on my boat. I am sure there will be other things but it is always nice to have the right tool when you need it.
