Get the M16 on a sale with an Nvidia card. Better thermals, better display, Nvidia > AMD

Seems like a great deal. Is there anything I'm missing? Any better gaming deals in recent memory?
I've had several issues including overheating to the point of crashing on a 20 year old game, horrible ips bleed, software bugs, battery life is like 4-5 hours unless you limit the power and have specific configurations. I returned mine but this price is great, the specs are all over the place though

8gb is soldered iirc, so max u can do is 24gb with 8+16 setup. i think in the 2024 variant, it has 2 slots
It supports more than 16Gb unofficially. You can have 40GB.

The 2024 drops slots entirely…soldered only.

It runs 32GB sticks fine if you need it, asymmetrical ram config has downsides at times so you should only do it if fully needed.

I've had this laptop for about 2 years now, use it daily and love it. The first one I had did die...just randomly stopped turning on, but my replacement has been solid.

I use the regular AMD drivers to keep the video card up to date and it's been a pretty smooth experience other than sleep not functioning properly half the time. I've decided to just put it into hibernation when I'm away from it for long periods of time and that solved the issue.

Wish it was 1080p, ugh. 1600p is too high of a resolution. You're never going to get anywhere close to 120hz even at 1440p on most modern titles with the 6800S.

I did have a previous asus sign in and i was signed in .. Maybe that helped the availability ?

what the heck? 14 inches is considerable worse than 15. bad display size tanks the deal Frown
No, it doesn't. Many people prefer ~14" for better portability. Thanks for sharing though.
