let me guess, dcd771? in other words, you bought a junk brushed drill that is large, heavy and wouldn't make a hole in a door frame along with junk 1.3ah batteries that last about 5 minutes and don't even have a charge indicator?

thank you for your useless insights. i'm sure it's a great drill for hanging up picture frames in drywall, but no one cares. DCD800/805 will pay back its' cost in a day or two just from the time it saves for a professional user.

This is a good deal for an excellent drill. That said, twice in the past 6 weeks Woot has had this same drill (DCD800) on sale along with a 5ah battery, battery charger, and bag for $129. A better deal by far for those who want to try waiting for that sale again. Otherwise, this one is still worth it.

Good deal. I would bite if it was a three speed transmission.

I have a basic Ryobi, but I find myself using the impact driver most often. Mainly for screws and other installations repairing repairman screwed up or cut corners on. How does this compare to the Ryobi impact driver? That is the one I've been looking at most often, but perhaps this would be better for my needs as I am slightly above a weekend warrior.

The DCD800 is often referenced. Does anyone know how this compares? I need a new drill as I'm about to put a new play set together.

I found an answer on a reddit thread. The B is tool-only, so solid reviews. In for 1, thanks op.

The 800b is their new compact drill series.

The battery and charger appear to be about a hundred bucks separately. Is there a third party compatible battery and charger that is cheaper?

I started out with regular drills, until one day needed to drill masonry for DIY house numbers.

Borrowed a friends hammer drill, and can never go back to regular drills anymore. Now when I look for drills, I'm always looking for one with hammer function as my next collection.

Never know when you'll need it, but glad to have it when you do.

Just my 2 cents.

Anyone looking for a 1/4" impact driver, this would pair nicely. https://a.co/d/3nzRKhH
