Prepared ketchup (Heinz, etc), will last about 1 year AFTER its "best by" date if you open it and keep it in the fridge. If it is unopened and in the pantry (un-refrigerated), it will last about 2 years past the "best by" date.

Been on the planet awhile, never ever ever looked at an expiration date 📅 on ketchup.

Tried a few of the non-high fructose ketchups a few months back. Heinz wasnt very good. The 365 by Whole Foods Market was the best.

I love this brand and this type, made with sugar, and not high fructose corn syrup. The Aldi brand of ketchup is a close match.

Yeah we have that regularly. It's very inexpensive considering it's whole foods. Amazon Fresh also sells it.

Seriously? I had a bottle of Heinz ketchup in the fridge and it changed color and tasted lousy approx. two months BEFORE the expiration date. I had to dispose of it. The general consensus is to use it up within 6-8 months once opened (and refrigerated). The organic version may have an even shorter shelf life. I had another (unopened) bottle in the pantry that changed color just prior to the expiration date. I use a minimal amount of ketchup, so I just ask for extra packets when I take food out and rotate it. It's a better option for me. This is a lot of ketchup, and it's fairly common for reduced food items sold by Amazon to be short-dated. Minimal risk at this price, though.
You must have nasty crap in your fridge leeching into your other foods.

It's because amazon owns whole foods.
