There's a reason these are on closeout. They are horrible. Returned them after multiple Dirac Live Set ups.
Speaker wire, a receiver and space.
The msrp on these is a fantasy.
I tried the towers awhile ago. They were okay. The speaker build quality and packaging is not super great so check all your stuff for any in transit damages.
For $600. Prolly a decent entry into this type of gear. Again the full retail is an absolute fiction.

I had a 3.1 setup using Infinity R263 towers center speaker and my Q990C sounds far better much louder and clearer dialogue.
Which sub & amp you used in 3.1 setup? And did you EQ your speakers? I am surprised to hear Q990C beating R263 in sound quality
but if sounded better in your setup, thats good
I just got the 12 sub today. Not hooked up yet. Pretty large beast compared to my SVS SB-1000. But it's ported and is about 10lbs heavier. Looks mean nothing but very nice looking on par with the SB-1000. Similar appearance to the Monolith Encore series. It's for my bedroom and should go well with the Monolith B6's and C5 Center. The dog will probably need to find somewhere else to sleep due to the loss of real estate. I'll run it through the Audyssey MultEQ Editor App to see what the curve looks like.
Find the absolute cheapest 12" woofer on Parts Express or Amazon. Now compare that to what they put in their 30lb dual port subwoofer box. They have a picture of the motor structure on their website. It's debatable that it even compares to the cheapest driver at Parts Express or Amazon. Now check the metrics. Tiny magnet and low power handling, coupled with a weak amplifier tells you it has little control and poor decay stats. Read sloppy. And based on the poor driver, weak amplifier, light weight of the box, you've got little bracing, thin walls, which means high resonance. And to end it all, the specs claim it will play down to 20Hz. Erin's audio corner reviewed arguably the best entry level budget subwoofer, the Monoprice 12" ported. The bass rolled off at 50Hz, and was almost inaudible at 30Hz.
In other words, tell us you don't have any actual knowledge of the product without telling us.
$599 for a 5.1 setup with towers and a 12" sub. Shipped. And there's 3 companies making money off this deal. Elevator doesn't always go to the top floor.
I bought this set, out of curiosity. The packaging is basic, white "snowball" foam, made for one shipment, as most was broken. The speakers have a white cloth sock over them, and your choice of rubber or metal spikes on the 507s. I usually opt for wood colors, but instead got the matte black/ gloss baffle combo. Looks really nice. One of the 507s had no holes for the feet pilot pins, so had to drill them. I noticed a clunking when moving the 503's box, and guessed immediately that one of the mid/ woofs magnets had broken off. Confirmed by looking in port; will contact Adorama for exchange. Keeping my expectations realistic given the price, I connected the 507s to my Musical Fidelity Encore integrated. Bass is not the tightest and a little boomy, but it's there. You can probably live without a sub for most music. Highs are good but a little recessed if you're at all off axis. My integrated has no tone controls, and i think these may benefit from that- or crossed over and connected to the sub (which I'll try when time allows). The sub seems decent. Hooked up to my surround system and watched the race from Ready Player One- which is my go-to sub demo- and never thought I was missing anything. Final thought is that this is a pretty good sounding system for the price, that looks really good.

Can you describe what the sound from these was like or the performance before and after DIRAC?
